WELCOME TO KIDS CLAY CLUB (Ages 5-10) 

Spark your child’s creativity with our SINGLE CLASS handbuilding pottery drop in! Designed for children ages 5 and up, this course introduces clay in a fun, hands-on, and age-appropriate way. Each week focuses on a new technique—from pinch pots and coil-building to slab mugs and imaginative sculptures—while allowing kids to explore textures, shapes, painting, and glazing.

Class Details:

• Frequency: THIS IS A SINGLE DROP IN CLASS 
• Duration: 1 hour to 1.5 hrs per session
• Materials: All clay, tools, underglazes, brushes, and aprons included
• Firing: Projects are fired and returned to students after completion (1-3 weeks for single class goers).

Program Highlights:

• Week 1: Pinch Pots – introduction to clay and basic handbuilding
• Week 2: Slab Tiles/Ornaments – press textures and create story tiles or ornaments
• Week 3: Coil Pots + Painting – build small vases/bowls and paint previous projects
• Week 4: Slab Mugs or Cups – roll slabs into functional mugs or cups
• Week 5: Creative Sculptures – make imaginative, textured sculptures
• Week 6: Paint + Finalize – glaze and finish all projects in preparation for the showcase
• Week 7: Mini Art Showcase – show off your child’s creations to family and friends

Depending on the day of the week/time of the course you sign up your child will experience the class schedule at whichever placement we are in our 6 week program. New programs begin every 6 weeks with continued offerings.
